Challenge.

A beautiful historic home was completely hidden in the dark, and the pathways were unsafe to navigate at night. The existing topography presented unique drainage challenges, and the soil composition required extensive amendment before any planting could begin.

Our
Solution.

We designed a subtle, low-voltage LED lighting scheme that highlights the architectural features of the home while safely illuminating all walkways without light pollution. We implemented a comprehensive terracing strategy utilizing native stone, which not only solved the erosion issues but created natural, intimate gathering spaces throughout the elevation changes.

The plant palette was carefully selected to provide year-round architectural interest while minimizing water requirements, resulting in a sanctuary that is both environmentally responsible and visually arresting.
