Modern Minimalist Retreat

The
Challenge.

The client wanted to transform an overgrown, high-maintenance backyard into a sleek, low-maintenance entertainment space. The existing topography presented unique drainage challenges, and the soil composition required extensive amendment before any planting could begin.

Our
Solution.

We implemented a geometric layout with drought-resistant native plants, a custom concrete fire pit, and ambient LED lighting to extend usability into the evening. We implemented a comprehensive terracing strategy utilizing native stone, which not only solved the erosion issues but created natural, intimate gathering spaces throughout the elevation changes.

The plant palette was carefully selected to provide year-round architectural interest while minimizing water requirements, resulting in a sanctuary that is both environmentally responsible and visually arresting.
